What size skip bin?
It is a question designed to give the customer exactly what they want and need. In our business – waste disposal – we like to keep it simple, but sometimes it is not that straightforward. At Kartaway we deal with a wide variety of requirements and therefore we have a wide variety of solutions – and we can help you choose the right skip bin.
If all you know is that you need “a skip for hire”, bear with us while we ask what it is for and how much debris you have to get rid of. We will make sure that what arrives at your property is big enough but not too big because there are other factors to consider, such as access to the property and where the skip is going to be placed. And of course, there are price differences too, and you don’t want to be paying more than you need to.
Let’s run through some options in advance, starting with those ideal for domestic customers.
Getting The Right Size Skip for the Job
Small Projects
If you are having a declutter, doing a bit of refurbishment or just have a load of garden debris that you want to see the back of, a mini skip may be all you need. It has 2m3. of room to deal with what you are throwing out and can take dead weights such as dirt as well as concrete, timber, tiles and metal items. To help get an idea of the size, we think of it as four trailers’ worth or eight wheelie bins. Sound like enough?
Larger Home Projects
If you need a little more, there are 2.5m3 skips and 4m3 skips, which take the same sort of materials, but in larger quantities.
Commercial & Industrial Skip Bins
From there we move up to commercial and industrial units, such as a 6m3. bins with doors for walk-in access. These are popular for building sites, where they can take care of a lot of dirt, concrete, bricks and general rubble.
If you need a bit more, we have 7.5m3. and 12m3. jobs, which can keep the site tidy and manageable while you keep working.
Large Walk-in Industrial Skip Bins
Then it is on up to 15m3 walk-in bins, which can be useful for factories too. The wellbeing of the workforce has to be taken into account in industrial locations, and getting rid of debris frees up space, thereby enhancing safety. These walk-in giants go right up to 31m3, and if your place keeps generating more material that needs to be taken away, let us know when it’s getting full or set up a schedule and we can turn up regularly with a fresh one for you.
The Smaller, Handy Bins
Our waste disposal units are not all Big Berthas. We also do everything from familiar-size 240-litre wheelie bins to those that take 1100 litres for general waste or recycling. You know how quickly cardboard packing and the like can accumulate and get in the way: these units provide a quick solution to keep the place tidy, and then we’ll come and take it off your hands altogether. Wheelie bin hire is available for households, businesses and owners corporation waste management.
